Solution

The correct option is C 7.389 atm
We are given a decimolar solution of K4[Fe(CN)6], molarity = 0.1 M
Degree of dissociation (α)=50100=0.5
Potassium ferrocyanide dissociates to give,
K4[Fe(CN)6]4K++[Fe(CN)6]4
Hence n = 5
α=i1n1
0.5=i151
i1=2
i=3
van't Hoff factor is 3
π=i×c×R×T

π=3×0.1×0.0821×300
=7.389 atm
