South

${\to v}_{s t e a m e r / w a t e r} = 10 \sqrt{3}^j m / s$

${\to v}_{w a t e r} = 5^i m / s$

${\to v}_{w i n d} = 5^i m / s$

$∴ {\to v}_{s t e a m e r} = {\to v}_{s t e a m e r / w a t e r} + {\to v}_{w a t e r}$

= $10 \sqrt{3}^j + 5^i m / s$

$∴ {\to v}_{f l a g}$ in the absence of wind is the velocity of flag w.r.t wind. This will be opposite to the velocity of the steamer.

$∴ {\to v}_{f l a g / w i n d} = - 10 \sqrt{3}^j - 5^i m / s$

${\to v}_{f l a g} = {\to v}_{f l a g / w i n d} + {\to v}_{w i n d}$
