Since, The hall is Surrounded by verandah

So, Additional increase in length will be $=2\ast 2.5=5$

Similarly , Additional increase in width will be $=2\ast 2.5=5$

So Area of Hall + Verandah $=(20+5)(15+5)=25\ast 20=500$

and Area of Hall $=20\ast 15=300$

Area of verandah $=500-300=200$

Rate of 1 sq metre $=17.5$

Rate of 200 sq metre $17.50\ast 200=3500$
