 A hemisphere the diameter of whose base is equal to the side of a cube is placed upon the upper face of the cube if the side of the cube is 14 cm find the total surface area of the solid combination


Solution

total area=2 π r2 +6a^2
where r=radius of sphere
a=side of cube
   =2*π*(7^2)+6*(14^2)
    =1483.87cm^2
