A lift is 10 m above the ground.

The lift has to descend 350 m underground.

The total distance the lift has to descend = 10 + 350 = 360
Given that the lift descends at the rate of 6 m/minute.

Total time required by the lift to descend from 10 m above the ground to 350 m below the ground =3606=60 minutes=1Hour

The lift will take 1 hour to descend from 10 m above the ground to 350 m below the ground.
