Solution

Correct option is B.

Let the initial/original amount be 100 units.

Since, the man losses 20% of his money, therefore,

Percentage of amount of money left with him =100%20%=80%

Hence, amount of money left with him 80% of 100 units =80100×100=80 units

Amount spend of the remaining money =25% of 80 =25100×80=20 units

Hence, final amount of money left with him =8020=60 units

Now, according to the question,

60 units =Rs.480

1 unit =Rs.48060=Rs.8

Hence, 100 units =Rs.8×100=Rs.800

Hence, initial/original amount with the man is Rs.800
