If n1 moles of a gas of ratio of specific heat γ1 is mixed with n2 moles of another gas of ratio of specific heat γ2, the ratio of specific heats of the mixture γ is given by,
n1+n2γ1=n1γ11+n2γ21
In the given problem,
γ=32
γ1=53 (mono atomic gas)
γ2=75 (diatomic gas)
n1+n212=n123+n225
2n1+2n2=3n12+5n22
.. n12=n22 or n1:n2=1:1
