A motorboat starting from rest on a lake accelerates in a straight line at a constant rate of 3.0m/s2 for 8.0s. How far does the boat travel during this time?

We know that Diatance is given by second equation of motion , S=ut+12at2
Here S=?=Distance
u=0= initial velocity
a=3m/s2 = acceleratin
t=8s= time
So, using the equation we get
S=ut+12at2
S=0+12×3×82
S=96m
