We know, acceleration, a= 4 ms2 and initial velocity, u= 0

Using second equation of motion

S = ut + 12at2

The distance covered in 3 second is:

S = 0×3 + 12×4×32

S = 2×32

S = 18 m

The distance covered in 4 seconds is:

S = 0×4 + 12×4×42

S = 2×42

S = 32 m

Distance covered in 4th second

= Distance covered in 4 seconds - Distance covered in 3 seconds

=32 m - 18 m

=14 m
