The correct option is D 8 cm
Area of a rectangle = length × width
Length of rectangle = 16 cm
Width of rectangle = 4 cm

So, area of rectangle = length × width
= 16 cm × 4 cm
= 64 sq cm.

Now, area of a square = side × side
Side length of the square will be
= 64 cm
= 8 cm

So, side length of each square is 8 cm.
