The correct option is C
$4 m$

Length of the resevoir, $l = 50 m$

Let the width of the reservoir be $b$

Level of water goes down by $10 c m = 0.1 m$

$\Rightarrow$ Volume of the water flowing out of the reservoir $= l \times b \times level of water$

$= 50 \times b \times 0.1 = 5 b$

Volume of water removed $= 20 k l = 20 m^{3}$ [ $∵ 1 m^{3} = 1000 l$ ]

Hence, $5 b = 20$

$\Rightarrow b = \frac{20}{5} = 4 m$
