Let COM of system = (x,y)
Length of rod =(83)2+(72)2
=52+52=52 m

x-cordinate of centre of mass.
x=m1x1+m2x2m1+m2=3(3)+4(8)3+4
=9+327=417 m
y - coordinate of centre of mass.
y=m1y1+m2y2m1+m2=3×2+4×73+4
=6+287=347 m

So, COM(417,347) m
