Let $E F G H$ be the room and the shaded area be the area of the verandah.
Now,
Length of the rectangle $A B C D$ including the verandah $D C = H G + 2 \times 1.25 = 12 m$
Breadth of the rectangle $A B C D$ including the verandah $B C = F G + 2 \times 1.25 = 8.5 m$
Therefore, area of the verandah $=$ Area of $A B C D -$ Area of $E F G H$
$= 12 \times 8.5 - 9.5 \times 6$
$= 102 - 57$
$= 45 m^{2}$
Cost of cementing the floor $= 45 \times 80 = R s .3600$
