The correct option is C 84 cm2
Given, the length of the rectangle = 20 cm, width = 5 cm
Area of the rectangle = length × width
=20 cm×5 cm
=100 cm2

Also, the side length of the square = 4 cm
Area of the square =(side)2
=(4 cm)2
=16 cm2

The square is cut from the rectangle.

Hence, the area of the remaining portion = Area of the rectangle Area of the square
=100 cm216 cm2
