Let sum of money =P and Rate be P.
For Part 1
A=1.5P
T=3
A=P(1+RT100)
1.5P=P(1+3R100)
0.5=3R100
R=100×0.53=503
For Second Part
A=3P
R=503
Time=T
ATP, 3P=P(1+50T3×100)
3=1+50T300
2=T6
T=12
Hence, Time required =12 years.
