Solution

The correct option is D 578
Say: Let us find the number.
We know that it is a 3-digit number.
The number in the tens place is 7, and hence its place value is 70.
We know that 5 is the number in the greatest place value. In a 3-digit number, the greatest place value is hundreds. Hence, 5 is in hundreds place and its place value is 500.
Similarly, 8 is in the lowest place value, that is the ones place. Hence, its value is 7.
So the number will be 500+70+8=578
Hence, option D is correct.
