Solution

Finding the number of tiles

Side of the square tile =25cm

Area of the square tile =side×side

=25×25=625cm2

Now, we find the area of square bathroom

Side of the bathroom =3m

Area of the bathroom =3×3=9m2

We know that 1m=100cm

Area of the bathroom in cm2=9×100×100=90000cm2

So the number of tiles = AreaofbathroomAreaof1squaretile

=90000625=144

Hence, number of tiles required are 144
