Using the Heron's formula, Area (A)= $\sqrt{s (s - a) (s - b) (s - c)}$ .
Semi-Perimeter (s) = $\frac{a + b + c}{2}$ $= \frac{11 + 15 + 6}{2}$
$= 16 m$
$∴ A = \sqrt{16 (16 - 11) (16 - 15) (16 - 6)}$ $= 20 \sqrt{2} m^{2}$
3 and a half years = 12 x 3 + 6 = 42 months.
$∴$ Earning in 3 and a half years $= 20 \sqrt{2} \times 1000 \times 42$ $= R s . 840000 \sqrt{2}$
The value of A is 840000.
