Question

Agaricus is a fungus, so naturally it should be included in the kingdom fungi, but why then is it referred to as a thallophyte belonging to kingdom plantae?
Also why does organism algae appears in three different kingdoms, in monera (cyanobacteria), in protista(early plants) and in plantae(first division)?

Agaricus is a fungus. It is included in kingdom fungi. Only algae is included in thallophyta.
Blue green algae comes under kingdom Monera because these have prokaryotic cell like bacteria. Some protistan algae come in kingdom protista. These include dinoflagellates, chrysophytes and euglenoids.
