Allyl chloride can react with AgCl and NaOH due to the formation of stable carbocation while vinyl chloride does not. So, allyl chloride can be distinguished from vinyl chloride. Hydride ion is an attacking reagent which convert alkyl halide into alkane on reacting with LiAlH4 .
