Here in this question the consumption of power = 400 W = $0·4KW$
Time = 8 hrs/day
No. of days = 30 days
Therefore , total time = t = 30$\times$ 8 =240 hrs
Energy = Power $\times$ time = $0·4\times 240=96$KWh
Therefore if cost of energy is Rs 3 per KWh then the total cost of energy for 30 days = $96\times 3=288Rs$
