Definition

• Some substances have a strong affinity to water molecules. When they are exposed to open air, they absorb Water $\left({\mathrm{H}}_2\mathrm{O}\right)$ and become moist. This phenomenon is known as Deliquescence and these types of salts are known as Deliquescent salts.
