Definition

• There are some substances that have a strong affinity toward Water $\left({\mathrm{H}}_2\mathrm{O}\right)$ molecules. When these substances are exposed to open air, they absorb Water $\left({\mathrm{H}}_2\mathrm{O}\right)$ from the open air and become moist. This phenomenon is called Deliquescence and those substances are called Deliquescent.

Use

• It is used to protect the heart from high Potassium $\left(\mathrm{K}\right)$ level.
