As shown in the figure the amount of heat absorbed along that path $A B C$ is $90 J$ and the amount of work done by the system is $30 J$ . If the amount of work done along the path $A D C$ is $20 J$ . Find the amount of heat absorbed.

For the whole system, $Δ U$ is constant
$Δ U = Q - W$
For ABC
$Q = 90 J$
$W = 30 J$
$∴ Δ U = (90 - 30) J = 60 J$
For ADC
$W = 20 J$
$Q = Δ U + W$
$= 60 J + 20 J$
$= 80 J$
