Solution

The correct option is B Both Assertion and Reason are correct but Reason is not the correct explanation for Assertion.
Disseminated tuberculosis (TB) is a contagious bacterial infection in which TB bacteria has spread from the lungs to other parts of the body through the blood or lymph system. Tuberculosis is treated with isoniazid, rifampicin, pyrazinamide and ethambutol or streptomycin. Rifampicin is a broad spectrum antibiotic and hence can prevent other bacterial infections also.
Antibiotics are among the most commonly prescribed drugs for people. When used properly, antibiotics can help destroy disease-causing bacteria. And the overuse and misuse of antibiotics help to create drug-resistant bacteria. The antibiotic is helping to create new drug-resistant “superbugs.”
Therefore, the correct answer is option B.
