Person with blood group AB produce both antigens A and B but there are no antibodies in blood plasma i.e. neither anti-A antibody nor anti-B antibody is present. So they can take blood from any person of any blood group A, B, AB or O because due to absence of antibodies in the AB blood group, agglutination of antibody-antigen will not occur with the received blood group. Hence, both assertion and reason are true and reason is correct explanation of assertion.
