Kushanas controlled the most part of the ‘Silk route’. They ruled over central Asia and west India around 2000 years ago.
- Their major centres of power were Peshawar and Mathura. Taxila was also a part of the kingdom.
- A branch of silk route extended from Central Asia to the mouth of river Indus.
