Solution
She is currently selling the bicycle for ₹1334 im which she suffers 8% loss. Consider x be the original price of the cycle that she buys. 1334= x- 8%(x) { negative sign is because she suffer loss} {1334 is the amount in which her loss is also included} Now we need to find value of x. from equation 1334= x- 8x/100 1334= (100x-8x)/100 1334= 92x/100 x= 1334×100/92 x= 1450 ₹1450 is the original price. Now for her to get a profit of 25/2% she should sell bicycle @ 25/2% of ₹1450 + ₹1450 i.e. ₹181.25 + ₹1450 i.e. ₹1631.25
