Question

Calculate the force of gravitation acting between a car of mass of 1000 Kg and earth. Mass of earth is 6×1024Kg. The radius of earth 6.4×106m. The value of the universal gravitational constant is 6.67×10-11Nm2/Kg2.

Mass of car (m) = 1000Kg

Distance between car and the center of earth =The radius of earth (R)= 6.4×106m

The value of universal gravitational constant is 6.67×10-11Nm2/Kg2

We need to find the gravitational force (F).

Step: 2 Formula used :

F=GMmR2

Step: 3 Calculating the gravitational force (F) :

F=6.67×10-116×1024×10006.4×1062=9800N

Hence,the gravitational force (F) is 9800 N.
