Carbon dioxide is considered as a pollutant. Although, carbon dioxide is a natural component of air, its concentration in the air has dramatically increased. This is because of the large scale burning of fossil fuels, which increase the amount of carbon dioxide in the air. An increase in the amount of carbon dioxide causes an increase in the temperature of Earth called global warming. Due to this reason, the carbon dioxide is considered as a pollutant.
