Open in App
Solution

  1. A simple pendulum consists of a small metal ball (called bob) suspended by a long thread from rigid support, such that the bob is free to swing back and forth.
  2. When a body moves to and fro (backward and forward) about its mean position, its motion is called oscillatory motion
  3. Hence it will fall under the oscillatory motion.
