Question

Consider the given set of compounds,
Let P be the number of anti-aromatic compounds

Q be the total number of resonating structures of carbonate ion [CO23],
R be the number of αH in given carbocation:

S be the number of geometrical isomers of the compound, CH3CH=CHCH=CH2,
T be the number of compounds more acidic than ethanol among the set given below:
Phenol, p-Nitrophenol, CH3COOH, CH3SO3H
Then (P+Q+R+S+T) is:

Solution

As per huckel's rule, numer of anit-aromatic compounds from the given compounds are 3.

There are 3 resonating structures for carbonate ion.

Number of αH for this carbocation is 7.

There are only 2 geometrical isomers for this compound.

All compounds are more acidic than ethanol.

So total 3+3+7+2+4=19
