Suppose we have a mixed fraction as: $\text{Whole}\frac{\text{Numerator}}{\text{Denominator}}$,

then its improper fraction is given as: $\frac{\text{Whole}\times \text{Denominator + Numerator}}{\text{Denominator}}$

For $10\frac{3}{5}$, on substituting the values we get:

$10\frac{3}{5}=\frac{(10\times 5)+3}{5}=\frac{50+3}{5}=\frac{53}{5}$
