Dear student
Some common chemical reactions are :
Combustion Reaction: When two or more reactant combine together to form a different product.
C10H8 + 12O2 ---> 10CO2 + 4 H2O
Combination reaction: When two reactants combine to form or synthesize a new compound.
8Fe + S8 ---.>8FeS
Decomposition reaction: When a compound is decomposed or broken into two different compounds or species.
2 H2O ---> 2H2 + O2
Single displacement reaction: When a metal displaces an element from its compound.
Mg + 2H2O ---> Mg(OH)2 + H2
Double displacement : When both the reacting species displaces each other or exchange their ions.
Pb(NO3)2 + 2KI ---> PbI2 + 2KNO3
Neutralization(Acid-base ) reaction : When two acid and bases react to form a salt and water.
HCl + NaOH --> NaCl + H2O
