Secondary sex organs include glands, organ, or duct which do not form any gamete but is involved in sexual reproduction.
Secondary sex organ in males:
Vasdeferens and the penis help in carrying the sperm produced in the testes.
Seminal vesicles and prostate glands are present at the junction of the vasdeferens and the tube connecting the urinary bladder. Their secretion provides a fluid medium for the easy transport of the sperms. The sperm together with this secretion forms a cloudy viscous fluid known as semen.
Secondary sex organs in females:
The fallopian tube or oviduct carries the egg released from the ovaries.
The uterus is a bag-like structure that prepares itself to carry or bear the fertilized egg.
The cervix is present between the uterus and the vagina.
The vagina is the passage that connects the internal structure of the reproductive system to the external side.
