Single cell protein (SCP) is an edible unicellular microorganism which is extracted from the fermentation of agricultural waste products with the use of pure or mixed cultures of different microbisl organisms such as yeastm fungi, algae and bacteria.

1. Bacteria Methylophilus, and methylotropus
2. Cynobacterium spirulina
3. Yeast - saccharomyces cerevisiae
