Somatogenic and blastogenic variations

Open in App
Solution

Somatogenic variations are due to external influences upon the body of the organism. These variations are not heritable and not transmitted to the offspring and are lost with the organism death. Whereas blastogenic variations arise in the germ cells of the organisms and have no external influence. These variations are heritable.
