Do luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) have the same function in the male and female reproductive system?

LH in males stimulates the Leydig cells to release androgens. In females, LH result in ovulation. FSH in males stimulates the Sertoli cells to release factors for spermiogenesis but in the case of females, it helps to control the menstrual cycle and stimulates the growth of eggs in the ovaries.
