  2. It is known as the powerhouse of the cell.
  3. They perform oxidative phosphorylation and the Krebs cycle during aerobic respiration.
  4. They are located in the cytoplasm.

Bacteria

  1. Bacteria are prokaryotic single-celled organisms.
  2. Prokaryotic cells are less structured than eukaryotic cells.
  3. In bacteria, genetic material is free-floating and there is an absence of all membrane-bound organelles.
  4. Bacterial cells produce energy in the cell surface membrane as they have no mitochondria.
  5. Examples- Escherichia, Salmonella, Pseudomonas, etc.
