Question

Does force affect inertia?

Open in App
Solution

Inertia

  1. We know that inertia is a property of matter.
  2. Therefore according to Newton's law of inertia, an object tends to resist any change in its state of rest or uniform motion unless it is acted upon by an external force. Such as an object in motion tends to remain at that velocity unless acted upon by some force.

Hence, the force has affected the inertia.
