Question

Factorise the following:
(a12b+13c)3a3+18b3127c3

Open in App
Solution

We know the identity: (a+b+c)3a3b3c3=3(a+b)(b+c)(c+a)

Using the above identity taking a=a, b=12b and c=13c, the equation can be factorised as follows:

(a12b+13c)3a3+18b3127c3=3(a12b)(12b+13c)(a+13c)
=3(ab2)(b2+c3)(a+c3)
Hence, (a12b+13c)3a3+18b3127c3=3(ab2)(b2+c3)(a+c3)
