Let C.P and S.P of one article = C and S respectively

Given, 10 c = 8 s

$\Rightarrow S=\frac{10C}{8}=\frac{5C}{4}$

Gain / loss % = $\frac{S-C}{C}\times 100$ $=\frac{\frac{5C}{4}-C}{C}\times 100=\frac{1}{4}\times 100$

= 25% $>0\Rightarrow$ Gain of 25%
