Find the number based on the following given clues.

1. Digit at tens place is a prime number.
2. Digit at ones place is 5.
3. Together, the digits at tens and ones place have a sum greater than 11.
4. Digit at tenths place is half of the sum of the digits at tens and ones place .
5. Digit at the hundredths place is same as digit at tens place.

Solution:

1. Digit at the tens place is a prime number. So, it can be any prime number less than 10.
Prime numbers less than 10 are 2, 3, 5, 7

2. Digit at ones place is 5.

[0.5 marks]

3. Sum of the digits at the tens and ones place is greater than 11.
It will only possible if digit at tens place is 7.
7 + 5 = 12

[0.5 marks]

4. Digit at tenths place = 12 × 12
= 6

[0.5 marks]

5. Digit at the hundredths place is same as the digit at the tens place, that is 7.

[0.5 marks]

So, the number will be 75.67
