Solution

The correct option is C

1.6 : 1

We know,
c=νλ
ν is inversely proportional to λ

Now, using c=νλ,
Where c is speed of light, ν is frequency, λ is wavelength

v1v2=λ2λ1 [1:violet and 2:red]

v1v2=6.56×1054.10×105=1.6:1

Now the energy associated with electromagnetic radiation is given by E=hν. Therefore,
E1E2=v1v2=λ2λ1=1.6:1
Hence, the ratio of energies is same as that of frequencies.
