Question

Find the sum of length of the parallel sides of a trapezium whose area is 4.2 m2 and whose height is 280 cm.

Open in App
Solution

Area of trapezium =a+b2×h
Where, a and b are parallel sides and h is perpendicular height.
So, (a+b) is sum of length of bases of a trapezium.
Now,
Area of trapezium =a+b2×h

4.2×1002=a+b2×280 {1m=100cm}

8.4280×10000=a+b

a+b=300cm
