Consider given the equations,

$- 5 x + 2 y = 10$ …..(1)

$4 x + y = - 3$ ……(2)

From equation2nd,

$y = - 3 + 4 x$ put in equation 1^st,we get

$- 5 x + 2 (- 3 + 4 x) = 10$

$- x - 6 = 10$

$- x = 14$

$x = - 14$

Put, $x = - 14$ in equation 1^st,

$- 5 \times (- 14) + 2 y = 10$

$70 + 2 y = 10$

$2 y = - 60$

$y = - 30$

Hence, this is the answer.
