Photosynthesis: Plants make their own food in the presence of water, sunlight, chlorophyll, and carbon dioxide. his process of making food is known as photosynthesis.

  • During photosynthesis, plants make food in the form of starch and give out oxygen in the air.
  • The level of oxygen can never get depleted in the air as plants produce oxygen continuously during photosynthesis.
  • The process of release of carbon dioxide by animals during respiration and utilization of carbon dioxide and release of oxygen back into the air maintains a balance of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the air.
