The new customers were given information about the new products in the market by advertising so that they can buy it.
Advertisements appeared in newspapers, magazines, hoardings, street walls, television screens.
Manchester industrialists started selling cloth in India, for advertisements they put labels on the cloth bundles, label consists of the place and manufacturer and the name of the company, to maker buyer familiar with the quality.
These labels, apart from text and words carried images of Indian gods and goddesses. Imprint of image of Krishna or Saraswati was intended to make manufacturer from a foreign land.
