Arteries:

  2. Arteries are those blood vessels that carry the blood away from the heart and supply the blood to every organ of our body.
  3. Different parts of our body require oxygenated blood to work properly.
  4. Because oxygen is used to oxidize food and produce energy in the cells of different organs of the body.
  5. Similarly, the heart also needs oxygenated blood, so that it can work properly.
  6. The coronary artery provides blood to the muscles of the heart.

Coronary arteries:

  2. These arise from the aortic arch, just above the semilunar valves.
  3. The coronary artery divides into capillaries and provides oxidized blood to the heart.
