Solution

The correct option is A Covalent way
Nitrogen atom has 7 electrons in it, which can be written as 2,5. Thus we see that Nitrogen atom has 5 electrons in its outermost orbit. In a Nitrogen molecule, two Nitrogen atoms are present. Both the Nitrogen atoms have 5 electrons in their outermost orbit. So, both the Nitrogen atoms need 3 electrons more each to complete their octet so that they can have 8 electrons in their outermost orbit.
So, the two Nitrogen atoms mutually share three valence pair of electrons between them, so that now both the atoms have 8 electrons each in their outermost orbit and complete their octet. When two atoms mutually share their pair of electrons between them, a covalent bond is formed between the atoms.
Thus Nitrogen molecule is formed from Nitrogen atoms in a covalent way.
